Clip Earrings
Let's address the elephant in the room: I don't keep many clip earrings in stock. I know that can be frustrating, but given the cost of my materials, the added difficulty of making clips, and the relatively small number of clients who wear them, it's hard to maintain a ready-made inventory. My work is also too varied in scale, color, and design for me to predict what to have on hand.
What I can do is convert almost any pair of earrings (given the parameter that there is room for the clip mechanism) into clips, or make a completely custom pair just for you. Both options are shown below
The Custom Clip Process in Action
Here's a good example of how the custom clip process can work. A client fell in love with a series at a show, but it was relatively new and I hadn't fully worked out the design yet. We talked through scale, and I decided to make several pairs in different colors and configurations so she could choose. The photo below shows them mid-production, at the point where a clip finding could be soldered on. Once she made her choice, I finished her earrings and converted the remaining pairs into post earrings for stock.
Picked from Stock, Converted to Clips
Another, more common scenario: a client picks out a pair of earrings from my current stock, I remove the posts, and weld on clip findings to transform them. This pair was picked right from my stock at a show, and transformed into clips.
If you see a pair of earrings on my website that you'd like converted into clips, just reach out. I'm happy to do it for a small conversion fee.
