The Team

  • A woman with curly blonde hair, wearing glasses on her head, smiling while working at a jewelry or metalworking station surrounded by tools, small parts, and materials.

Deb — CEO, CFO, Chief Everything Officer

Deb runs the entire operation from soup to nuts—designing, hand-making, photographing, packaging, and marketing every piece that leaves the studio. She’s a one-woman band with a soldering torch in one hand and a camera in the other, fueled by narrative podcasts and an unreasonable willingness to take on a new challenge “just to see if she can.” When she’s not wrangling gemstones, she’s wrangling her cat-employees, who are terrible at deadlines but excellent for morale.

  • A curious black and white cat with large yellow-green eyes peeking over a ledge.

Ollie — Chief Napper & Occasional Supervisor

Ollie specializes in strategic napping and sudden, unsolicited performance reviews delivered at full volume. Though frequently late to work—and often no help whatsoever—he maintains an essential presence on the window perch and screened-in porch. As the most skittish member of the team, he panics at even the gentlest studio noises, raising ongoing questions about how he got hired in the first place. But despite his questionable work ethic, Ollie is a top-tier lunchtime companion and a valued morale booster (when he’s not asleep).

  • A black and white cat with big green eyes lying on a carpeted floor, peeking out from under a piece of furniture.

Kobe — Junior Snack Coordinator & Studio Hazard Specialist

Kobe is the newest member of the team and brings an impressive level of food motivation to every task. He firmly believes that all studio activities—soldering, sketching, photographing—are enhanced by snacks, preferably his. As Deb’s dedicated lap-sitter, he provides essential time-management services by ensuring she cannot get up unnecessarily.

Kobe also excels at being directly underfoot, offering hands-on lessons in balance and studio safety. His additional strengths include sitting on trays of in-progress work, knocking gemstones to the floor, and providing constant “help” that no one asked for. Despite the chaos, his enthusiasm is unmatched, and morale has never been higher.
