FAQs
Q
The most important question, in my opinion, is why should you buy a piece from me, especially given that there is so much jewelry out there?
A
Behind this website is me, a single independent artist creating each piece with care, passion, and attention to detail for almost 30 years. I take the trust my clients place in me very seriously, and over the years I have built relationships with many who return again and again. I love that my work can be a part of your story, celebrating milestones, special moments, and everyday joys. Whether you have met me at a show, discovered me on social media, or stumbled here through the magic of the internet, I want you to feel confident that every piece you collect is made with the quality and craftsmanship that only a handmade object made by the maker herself can provide.
Most jewelry is made to be worn. Mine is made to be discovered. I sculpt glass and metal slowly and deliberately, letting the material guide the form. Every curve, every layer, every shift of light is intentional. Nothing is cast, pressed, or hurried. Colors change as light moves across them. Each piece holds movement, balance, and surprise. When you wear one of my creations, it is not just adornment. It is a small sculpture, a story, a fragment of something rare, waiting to be discovered. I hope my jewelry resonates with you, offering a sense of connection and authenticity that mass-produced pieces cannot, and giving you full confidence that your investment is thoughtful, meaningful, and lasting.

I generally make stock rings in sizes 6-9 because they are the most common sizes, but I can either size or remake most pieces in any size. If a ring is ordered in a drastically different size (more than 2 sizes in either direction) than the one in stock, it may need to be remade and scaled up or down to suit the scale of the ring size (which I am happy to do).
Contact me to discuss ring sizing.

The easiest way to find your ring size is to visit a local jeweler and have your finger measured professionally. If that is not convenient, you can also measure at home:
Wrap a strip of paper or a piece of string snugly around the base of the finger where the ring will sit.
Mark where the ends meet and measure the length with a ruler in millimeters.
Tip: Be careful not to wrap the string too tight. Aim for a comfortable, snug.
Finger size can change slightly throughout the day and with the seasons. For the most comfortable fit, measure your finger at the end of the day when it is warm and avoid measuring when your hands are cold.
I am happy to send you a complimentary ring sizer so that you can order the perfect size. There are also several apps available that can be downloaded onto your smartphone to help you figure out ring size based on an existing ring. I recommend one called Ring Sizer - Size Meter.
If you are between sizes or unsure, I am happy to help guide you to the best fit. Please reach out before placing your order so we can ensure a comfortable and perfect fit.

You can measure your wrist by cutting a strip of paper and wrapping it around your wrist. I consider 6-6.5" a small, 7-7.5 average or medium, and anything above that to be a large. When ordering a custom size, please give me the actual measurement of your wrist without padding the number so I can make it fit you correctly.

If your bracelet arrives and doesn’t fit, I can walk you through the steps to send it back to me for resizing. I’m always happy to adjust a piece so it fits you perfectly.

My necklace measurements are listed in each product description. Most necklaces are adjustable between 16–20” unless otherwise noted, and I’m always happy to create a custom length for you. Lengths are measured end-to-end (including the clasp and extender). Some designs with sculptural elements may have specific length limitations, but I’ll let you know what’s possible for the piece you love. If you're unsure which length will fit best, the size chart below can help—or feel free to contact me.

My pieces are created by laminating multiple layers of glass, with the top layer made from clear optical glass. This glass is highly refractive and exceptionally durable, produced with platinum during the melting process to create a hard surface that resists breakage. Laminated glass generally does not shatter upon impact because the interlayers hold it together, making it remarkably resilient for everyday wear. While durable, it is not indestructible, like all glass, it can break and should be treated with care. You can read more about my glass process [here]

My work combines glass, sterling silver, 18k gold, 14k rose gold, and genuine gemstones. I strive to use stones that are untreated whenever possible, avoiding dyed or irradiated gems. These are authentic, high-quality materials — not crystals or rhinestones. You can read more about my materials by clicking [ here]

Yes, it will. Sterling silver tarnishes, full stop. That's not a flaw, it's just the nature of the material. The good news is it's easy to manage.
I say this all the time at shows, so if you've already heard it, just skip ahead, but I hoard those little desiccant packets that come free in every purse, new pair of shoes, pretty much everything you buy. I keep them in with my jewelry because they absorb moisture, which is essentially what prevents the silver from tarnishing in the first place. Storing your piece in a small airtight plastic bag when you're not wearing it helps too. Between the two, you can go a long time without ever having to clean it.
But in the event that you do need to clean it, use a rouge cloth on polished areas and a 3M Scotch-Brite pad on anything matte or textured. Different surfaces, different tools.
For the glass, I use glass cleaner on a soft paper towel, or plain dish soap. Either works beautifully. Another pro tip: I often use my blow dryer to make sure there's no moisture left before I put things away. Just go easy on the heat setting. You want to blow out the moisture, not cook the jewelry.
If your piece has gemstones, pay attention to what they are. Tarnish removers like Tarnex can be used carefully with a Q-tip on the silver but keep them away from the stones entirely. Opals and pearls are porous and can absorb chemicals that will affect their luster. Also, be sure to thoroughly flush the piece with water after using any chemicals, and again, make sure it's completely dry before storing.
A few things to avoid across the board: swimming, showering, chlorine, saltwater. Anything high impact. Perfume, lotion, and cleaning products. And sudden temperature swings aren't great for the glass or the stones, so don't leave your piece somewhere it'll go from one extreme to another.
These pieces are built to last. With a little basic care, they'll stay beautiful for years, and honestly, for generations. I love the idea that something I made by hand could become a family heirloom someday.

Sterling silver: Store in an airtight plastic bag to avoid tarnish. Use a dry rouge cloth on highly polished areas and a 3M Scotch-Brite pad on matte or textured surfaces.
Glass surfaces: Clean gently with glass cleaner applied to a soft paper towel. I also love to use dish soap to remove dirt or grime. Just be sure to thoroughly dry your pieces before storing them.
Gemstones: Be careful with delicate stones such as opals, pearls, or rough minerals; avoid harsh chemicals. Tarnish removers like Tarnex can be used carefully but never let them contact delicate stones.
With proper care, your one-of-a-kind piece will maintain its brilliance for years to come.

While my pieces are made to be durable, they are handmade, one-of-a-kind works featuring carved glass, gemstones, and hand-fabricated sterling silver. To preserve their beauty and longevity:
Always remove jewelry before swimming, showering, or soaking in water. Chlorine, saltwater, and pool chemicals can damage both metals and stones.
Avoid sports or high-impact activities, as stones may loosen or glass may chip under sudden pressure.
Keep away from harsh chemicals—cleaning products, perfumes, and lotions can tarnish silver or affect gemstone luster.
Protect from extreme temperatures; sudden heat or cold can stress the stones or the glass carving.
With proper care, your one-of-a-kind piece will maintain its brilliance for years to come.

I ship items out almost immediately when no modifications are needed. I'm a consumer too, and I know that when I finally decide to buy something I've been eyeing, I want it now,
My work is almost entirely one-of-a-kind, so every piece listed (unless otherwise stated) is the exact piece you'll receive.

I offer free shipping anywhere in the continental US, usually via UPS Ground. I generally choose the fastest option for the price, so depending on where you're located, I might bump up your shipping at no extra cost to you. Due to rising fuel costs, UPS shipping to some areas has become increasingly expensive, so in certain cases I may ship via USPS Priority Mail instead. Either way, you'll receive your tracking number once your order is processed and the shipping label has been generated. You also have the option to upgrade to expedited shipping.
-
Absolutely! Just check the gift box at checkout, let me know the text for your card, and I am happy to send your purchase directly to the recipient. I love wrapping gifts, so these are always fun to put together and send.
-
Yes!! I can ship to any location in the world… contact me to make the purchase. Once I know your exact location, I can give you all the shipping options and send you an invoice payable online.
-
While I don't offer full refunds, I gladly accept exchanges within two weeks of purchase. Simply contact me to let me know you'd like to make an exchange, and we'll go from there. If you're buying a gift, just let me know and I'll extend that window to fit your timeline.
Exchanges can be applied toward another piece in my shop, a store credit, or credit toward a custom piece. Store credit never expires. My goal is for every piece to find its perfect home. However, custom orders and commissions are non-refundable, as each one is made specifically for you, to your specifications, with time and care built in from the start.
To be eligible for an exchange, pieces must be returned unworn, in their original condition and in the original box.
In the event that you return a piece, please ship it in its original box using a tracked method, and send me the tracking information once it's on its way. Shipping costs are the client's responsibility, and I can't be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit. Exchanges are processed once the original piece arrives safely, and I'll be in touch promptly once it does.

I stand behind my work and am happy to offer complimentary repairs within one year of purchase for any issue that is the result of a design flaw. Repairs needed due to damage caused by the wearer are assessed on a case by case basis regardless of when the piece was purchased, and a fee will be quoted based on the extent of the repair.
After the first year, I may charge a small fee depending on the extent of the repair. Quick fixes I am often happy to handle at no charge, but repairs involving shattered glass, broken stones, or significant structural damage will be quoted individually.
To send a piece in for repair, first notify me so that I am aware the piece will be headed to me. I am often traveling, and can let you know when the best time to send it is. Please ship it in a well-padded box or padded envelope using a tracked method, and send me the tracking information once it's on its way. Shipping costs are the client's responsibility in both directions.
Still have a question? I probably didn't cover everything. Reach out -- I'm pretty good about getting back to people quickly. Just keep in mind I'm on East Coast time, so if you're writing from California at 11pm, I'm more than likely already asleep. I need my beauty rest.
