Blue Orbit Ripple Necklace

$510.00

I am really excited to return to this series, as it was one of my most popular and requested design concepts. My goal with this series is to capture the moment when a single drop of water strikes the surface, creating ripples that spread outward in a mesmerizing pattern. I incorporate smooth, undulating contours to mimic the gentle waves formed by an impact. The glass surface shimmers with varying depths, creating the illusion of water in motion, as if it were frozen right in time.

The focal pendant is hand-carved from a rich, deep blue glass that handles light beautifully. Right at the epicenter of the ripple, I set a clear, brilliant-cut topaz to represent that initial glistening drop of water.

For the chain, I wanted to build in some extra versatility. It hangs from a clean, classic sterling silver round link chain that perfectly balances the fluid weight of the pendant. The chain is completely detachable and fully finished, meaning you can easily remove the ripple pendant and wear the chain completely on its own as a simple, elegant staple. It is adjustable from 16 to 20 inches, so you can easily tweak how it sits depending on your neckline.

Every piece of glass is made by a process called cold-working, where the glass is carved at room temperature with no heat and is never liquid or pressed into a mold. If you want to learn more about my process and the durability of my materials, you can read the post where I break down my entire process on my Studio Journal.
