The Saffron Ring is a celebration of rich, fiery color and texture, designed for anyone who completely leans into a bold orange palette. The foundation of this statement ring is a natural orange druzy specimen sourced from Ouray County, Colorado, which I hand-cut. Layered on top, a faceted spessartite garnet brings an extra dose of warmth and brilliant sparkle, creating a sculptural composition that captures light from every angle.
This art jewelry piece is entirely built around the organic contours of the stones. I hand-fabricated the individual sterling silver settings to trace the unique perimeter of the druzy, adding sterling bubble details that contrast nicely against the glittering landscape of the crystals. The entire setting rests on a modern, square-shaped sterling silver band that gives it a solid, balanced weight on the finger while ensuring it sits beautifully upright.
Because I hand-cut the druzy specimen and construct the silver work from scratch at the bench, this collector's piece is completely unique.
