Sundial Necklace

The Sundial necklace is designed around the raw, metallic geometry of a natural pyrite sun disc (also known as a pyrite dollar). This flat, circular stone features a natural brassy-gold luster and a distinct, radiating crystal pattern that naturally resembles the face of an ancient sundial.

Nestled along the right side of the pyrite disc is a faceted, oval rutilated quartz. The clear crystal is shot through with fine, needle-like inclusions of golden-brown rutile that catch the light and echo the warm, metallic tones of the pyrite. Hanging just below the quartz is a single, faceted pear-shaped white topaz, adding a sharp, clean point of light to the bottom of the cluster.

Each stone is individually secured in a hand-fabricated sterling silver bezel setting. Open, decorative sterling silver circles are integrated between the stones, creating negative space and tying the asymmetrical composition together.

The pendant is integrated directly into a double-strand sterling silver chain. The chain features a mix of classic link profiles and open circle details on one side, balancing the artistic layout of the centerpiece.
