Violet Bloom & Bud Pendant

$560.00

This past winter seemed longer and colder than it should have, so when my garden started to bloom, it really struck a deep chord…this piece is all about capturing that quiet moment in the garden right as things start coming to life.

The main bloom is hand-carved from a glowing purple glass that shifts between luminous orchid, lavender, and cool violet tones as it moves in the light. I carved deep, fan-like ridges across the surface to give the petals a soft, ruffled texture and plenty of depth beneath the surface.

Reaching up from the petal centerpiece are hand-forged, lightly hammered sterling silver stems that form the top structure. I pulled one stem off to the side to hold a rich, sparkling round amethyst that sits like an unopened little bud right above the main glass bloom.

The pendant hangs from a fluid, multi-strand sparkly sterling silver chain that lets the piece sit light and comfortable against your collarbone. The chain is fully adjustable between 16 and 20 inches, so you can easily adjust where it rests depending on what you’re wearing.

Every piece of glass is made by a process called cold-working, where the glass is carved at room temperature with no heat and is never liquid or pressed into a mold. If you want to learn more about my process and the durability of my materials, you can read the post where I break down my entire process on my Studio Journal.

  • Cold-worked purple glass with shifting orchid and violet undertones, hand-carved with fan-like petal ridges.

  • Genuine bezel-set round amethyst accent.

  • Fluid multi-strand sparkly sterling silver chain, adjustable between 16" and 20".

  • One of a kind, signed, and copyrighted.
