This series started at an erosion exhibit at the Franklin Institute, one of those moments where something clicks and you can't stop thinking about it. A river delta is the result of water doing its slow, patient work, carving and depositing over thousands of years until the land takes on this particular curved, wing-like shape. The glass is cold-worked and hand-carved, so the surface has real texture, not just color. The color shifts depending on the version, blues and purples, pinks, greens, each one suggesting a different kind of waterway. A gemstone sits at the curve.
