The Adrift Pin Pendant is where fluid, organic forms meet a timeless, structural elegance. At its heart lies a mix of luminous cold-worked glass, laminated and carved by hand to capture that pure beachy essence—feeling like a cluster of jellyfish or the foamy, bubbling edge of a shoreline. Bubbly details of hand-fabricated sterling silver circles embrace the sculpted glass and a luminous pearl, while a faceted genuine white topaz glints to add a bright droplet of brilliance.
Bold yet ethereal, this design plays constantly with light and movement—laminating deep colored layers beneath a clear optical layer so the glass acts as a prism, creating shifting glints and deep reflections as you go about your day. I hand-fabricated the setting with a double pin stem to ensure the piece lays perfectly flat and secure when worn as a brooch, or transforms effortlessly when paired with its companion chain, all while maintaining a strong, sculptural presence. It is a wearable work of art, crafted to capture the quiet, untamed energy of the elements.
Because I cut and carve each piece of glass individually using traditional water-cooled methods, every piece carries its own subtle, organic variations. To learn more about this technical process, visit my studio journal post on cold-working. It makes for an incredibly distinctive statement piece and a beautiful collector’s treasure.
Hand-fabricated sterling silver, luminous cold-worked glass, an organic pearl, and a genuine white topaz.
This custom, multi-strand bubble chain is a complete, standalone piece of jewelry designed to be worn entirely on its own, or seamlessly connect with the Adrift pin to transform it into a statement necklace.
Crafted without molds or templates, ensuring the glass and silver work belong entirely to this specific piece.
