Erosion Earrings
In my 'Erosion' series, I delve into the concepts of both wind erosion and weathering. The distinctive feature lies in the properties of the black glass. Unlike clear glass that relies on internal reflections, the black glass in this series relies on external reflections giving the resulting pieces a completely different fell that the rest of my work.
Handwrought sterling silver, hand carved black glass, white topaz, and black onyx druzy.
*Earring weight is a major concern for many of my customers. With that in mind, I carefully weigh my materials as I work to ensure that my finished product is not only wearable, but comfortable. With years of input from clients, I have it figured out to a science, and I am careful to stick within those parameters.
