The Adjustable Fragment Rings series centers on the concept of raw, shard-like geometry balanced with everyday functionality. Designed with a flexible, open-back format, this piece highlights a sharp slice of color nested inside a heavily textured frame.
I hand-fabricate the angular bezel and the adjustable, split-shank band from sterling silver, giving the outer metal borders a deeply textured, rugged surface that mimics natural stone. Protected within this strong border is a custom-cut piece of cold-worked glass, ground to a smooth finish to showcase a single, saturated field of color that catches ambient light.
Because I cut and shape each piece of glass individually, the precise dimensions and optical qualities are unique to each ring. The adjustable band allows for versatile wear across different fingers while maintaining its sculptural integrity.
