The Cross Current Ring captures the dynamic, fluid energy of opposing water currents moving past one another. Built with an architectural presence, this design relies on a multi-tiered layout that highlights contrasting color fields and deep structural textures.
I hand-fabricate the bezels and the substantial ring shank from sterling silver, treating the outer bezel walls with a hand-applied diamond texture that creates a brilliant sparkle and depth. Secured within this shimmering border are two independent, hand-shaped cold-worked glass elements. Each piece of glass features meticulously ground, undulating ridges across its surface—one transitioning through rich purples and greens, and the other catching electric blues. Nestled along the dividing line is a clean, polished silver bezel holding a brilliant topaz gemstone accent that anchors the visual movement.
Because I cut, carve, and polish every glass element individually, the precise alignment of the ridges and the depth of the colors belong entirely to this one-of-a-kind piece.
