The Division Ring explores stark structural contrast, balanced asymmetry, and mid-century architectural lines. This design relies on a bold, dual-lobed silhouette to segment distinct textures and create an impactful graphic presence on the hand.
I hand-fabricate the interconnected double-bezel framework and the clean geometric ring band from sterling silver, treating the outer bezel walls with a hand-applied diamond texture that provides a brilliant sparkle and depth. Nestled within this shimmering border is a hand-shaped cold-worked deep charcoal glass element. The glass features two meticulously ground, concave recesses that dip inward to cradle individual settings: one housing a luminous white pearl and the other a sparkling, genuine white topaz accent.
Because I cut, carve, and polish every glass element individually in my studio, the precise geometry and sculptural depth belong strictly to this one-of-a-kind ring.
