The Kismet Ring features a balanced, three-lobed silhouette designed to highlight a smooth transition of rich color. The layout places a singular gemstone at the center of an organic form, creating a clean, focused design that sits comfortably low on the hand.
I hand-fabricate the contoured setting and polished band from sterling silver, giving the outer vertical walls a fine, frosted texture that contrasts with the bright metal rim. The focal point is a solid piece of cold-worked glass, meticulously shaped to display a gradient that shifts from deep violet into a saturated cobalt blue. Bezel-set right at the center is a small, sparkling blue topaz that adds a crisp point of light to the deeper tones of the glass.
Because I cut and shape the glass by hand at the bench without templates, each iteration has its own subtle nuances. It is a one-of-a-kind studio piece made for those who appreciate direct, independent craftsmanship.
