Please ignore my horrible hands. They are somewhat embarrassing, but just like ballet dancers have ugly feet, my hands are a result of years as a maker !
Indulge in my passion for crafting unique, one-of-a-kind rings, where the allure of diverse and often unusual gemstones harmoniously converges. This ring features a hand-constructed wavy sterling silver band, featuring genuine Peruvian chrysocolla, Ethiopian Welo opal, and white topaz.
Often called Peruvian turquoise, chrysocolla is a beautiful composite of minerals like azurite, malachite, cuprite, and quartz. I personally prefer it to traditional turquoise because it has more depth, rich color variation, and strongly reminds me of tropical water.
Because I hand-cut stones right in my studio, I am able to shape and facet these unusual, organic specimens to fit my custom, hand-fabricated silver settings exactly. To read more about my lapidary process and worldwide stone sourcing, visit my materials page.
Fun Fact: Chrysocolla and opal are two of my absolute favorite stones! ♥
