Quiet Current Ring
This ring brings together stones chosen for their subtle movement, texture, and depth of color. A faceted rose-cut kyanite anchors the composition, its internal striations playing against the light as it runs through cool blue-gray tones like a slow, directional flow. Below it, a hemimorphite druzy introduces a crystalline, highly sparkly surface that catches the light with every movement, beautifully contrasting with the other stones.
A luminous opal sits between them, catching flashes of blue and green as the light shifts, while a small clear topaz adds a quiet point of reflection. The stones are arranged in a stacked, asymmetrical composition that feels layered rather than crowded, allowing each material to retain its own presence.
Because I do much of my own lapidary work right here in the studio, I am able to work with these highly unusual, crystalline specimens and cut them specifically to build complex, one-of-a-kind miniature landscapes.
