The Rain on My Parade Ring is all about pairing rich, dark blues with intense pops of green. I wanted to experiment with a sculptural layout using distinct teardrop shapes that mirror each other but offer completely different textures. On one side, I set a deep blue faceted sapphire, and on the other, a vibrant slice of abalone shell that completely shifts in the light with swirls of green and purple.
It’s a bold, artistic statement ring, but it's built to sit incredibly comfortably on your hand. To bridge those two main shapes, I stacked a bright green chrome diopside and a violet-blue iolite right in the center. I hand-fabricated the sterling silver setting specifically around this custom asymmetrical composition, mounting it all onto a sleek, square-shaped band that keeps the entire piece balanced and sitting upright on your finger.
Because I hand-select every individual specimen and construct each setting from scratch at the bench, no two versions of this ring will ever be the same.
