Blue Vortex Wave Pendant

The Blue Vortex Wave pendant features an intense, deep blue glass that I hand-carved with swirling, undulating ridges to capture the motion of a cresting wave or whirlpool. Nestled right into the curve of the wave is a bright, faceted topaz that adds a crisp flash of light against the rich blues of the glass. The piece is set entirely in hand-fabricated sterling silver, with a diamond-textured bezel that traces its fluid, organic silhouette.

The pendant hangs from a double sparkly chain that can actually be worn separately on its own. The chain is adjustable between 16 and 20 inches, making it easy to pair with different necklines. It balances a striking splash of color with a comfortable, everyday feel.

Every piece of glass is made by a process called cold-working, where the glass is carved at room temperature with no heat and is never liquid or pressed into a mold.
