Structured Ember Necklace
My newest series explores the dynamic contrasts and interplay between structure and spontaneity. I combine organic clusters of natural gemstones and hand-carved glass—featuring soft, rounded forms and suspended bubbles—with sharply defined geometric structures. These clean, angular frameworks don’t confine the organic elements; they interact with them, creating a conversation between precision and irregularity. Color and texture are vital components of my visual language, guiding how each piece comes to life. Glass, as a material, inherently lends itself to fluidity—its ability to capture light, depth, and motion echoes the qualities of water. Crystalline surfaces, saturated hues, and layered spatial compositions further emphasize the tension between natural growth and engineered form. Each piece is a distilled moment of contrast, balance, and movement.
Made of hand constructed sterling silver, carved glass, ruby, garnet white topaz, and pearl.
