Sculpted Shadow Earrings

The Sculpted Shadow earrings are designed around an organic, asymmetrical pair of deep black glass elements. With a form reminiscent of sea-swept shells or natural stone, these earrings capture a bold, graphic presence while remaining entirely lightweight and wearable.

I hand-carved the surface of each opaque black glass segment with deep, undulating ridges. These fluid grooves create a beautiful play of light, showing off high-polish reflections along the raised peaks and deep, velvety shadows within the recesses. The asymmetrical silhouettes are mirrored, allowing them to frame the jawline naturally when worn.

Each piece of glass is nestled in a custom, hand-fabricated sterling silver setting. I finished the surrounding bezels with a signature hand-applied diamond texture, creating a shimmering, matte-like border that traces and highlights the organic contours of the carvings.

These are compact post earrings designed to sit flat, secure, and low-profile against the earlobe.

Every piece of glass is made by a process called cold-working, where the glass is carved at room temperature with no heat and is never liquid or pressed into a mold.
