Spindrift Necklace

$1,195.00

The Spindrift necklace is designed around a dramatic, cresting wave-like silhouette that captures the fluid, swirling motion of sea spray.

The glass is a luminous lavender-violet with shifting sky blue and soft magenta undertones that emerge as the piece moves and catches the light. I hand-carved the surface of this asymmetrical, scrolling segment with deep, undulating ridges that follow the sweeping curve of the form, allowing the different color layers within the glass to surface.

Nestled along the trailing edge of the wave is a single, rich purple amethyst. The faceted stone is cut into an elegant pear shape and secured in a highly polished bezel, serving as a bright, geometric bridge between the carved glass and the chain.

The entire centerpiece is held in a hand-fabricated sterling silver bezel that perfectly traces its organic, dynamic outline. It connects directly to a sleek, fluid sterling silver omega chain that complements the sculptural curves of the pendant. The chain is fully adjustable between 16 and 20 inches, allowing you to customize where the centerpiece rests against your collarbone.

Every piece of glass is made by a process called cold-working, where the glass is carved at room temperature with no heat and is never liquid or pressed into a mold. If you want to learn more about my process and the durability of my materials, you can read the post where I break down my entire process on my Studio Journal.
