Suspension Necklace

$925.00

The Suspension necklace is an architectural statement piece that explores the balance between clean geometric structure and fluid, organic form. This piece frames a dramatic, hand-carved glass element suspended between angled, hand-forged sterling silver bars that drape effortlessly at any length you choose.

The glass centerpiece is a vibrant, luminous chartreuse green that shifts with brilliant teal and golden-yellow undertones as it catches the light. I hand-carved the surface of this wing-like glass form with deep, radiating ridges that channel and reflect light across its polished surface.

Tucked along the lower right edge of the glass setting is a brilliant, bezel-set yellow sapphire. This golden point of light complements the warm undertones in the green glass while serving as a refined focal accent against the cool sterling silver.

The architecture of the necklace features hinged, hand-forged sterling silver bar links that extend upward from the pendant to articulate comfortably against the body. The top connects to a sparkly, fluid multi-strand sterling silver chain that is fully adjustable between 16 and 20 inches, allowing you to customize where the dramatic pendant rests.

Every piece of glass is made by a process called cold-working, where the glass is carved at room temperature with no heat and is never liquid or pressed into a mold. If you want to learn more about my process and the durability of my materials, you can read the post where I break down my entire process on my Studio Journal.
