Transformation Necklace

$1,520.00

The Transformation necklace features an asymmetrical centerpiece that has the feel of floating flower petals or a butterfly wings. The design is composed of two distinct hand-carved glass segments set in hand-fabricated sterling silver.

The glass is a vibrant chartreuse with shifting blue and green undertones that reveal themselves as the piece moves and catches the light. I hand-carved each segment with radiating, botanical ridges that mimic the delicate texture of wings. Nestled into the lower gap between the left wing and the center segment is a single, bezel-set round white topaz that adds a small, bright point of light.

The entire pendant hangs from three layered strands of a sparkly sterling silver chain, which balances the organic presence of the centerpiece. The chain is fully adjustable between 16 and 20 inches, allowing you to easily adjust where the necklace sits against your collarbone.

Every piece of glass is made by a process called cold-working, where the glass is carved at room temperature with no heat and is never liquid or pressed into a mold. If you want to learn more about my process and the durability of my materials, you can read the post where I break down my entire process on my Studio Journal.
