The Vitality Ring is carved from laminated glass built from multiple shades of green and blue-green held within a single sculptural form. Cool aqua and deep teal shift into softer spring green, remaining distinct rather than blended, creating a sense of circulation, growth, and contained energy.
The glass is entirely cold-worked: laminated, then slowly carved and shaped by hand without the use of heat. As the surface is cut back, rounded planes and recessed pockets emerge, breaking the color fields apart and re-containing them within the form. Light activates the glass from within, causing subtle shifts in depth and hue as the ring moves.
The carved glass is set within a hand-fabricated sterling silver structure that balances organic contour with deliberate structure. Peridot, tourmaline, and chrome diopside are set alongside the glass, their varied green tones echoing and amplifying the layered color while offering distinct points of clarity and contrast.
