Windflower Necklace

$1,052.00

The Windflower necklace is an artistic, asymmetrical statement piece designed to capture the fluid, windblown elegance of wild blossoms in early spring.

The centerpiece is carved from a highly reflective glass that shifts from a luminous, bright cerulean blue at the center to rich violet-magenta tones along the outer scalloped edges. I hand-carved the surface of this petal-like segment with deep, radiating ridges that flare outward, catching and channeling the light as it moves against your skin.

Gathered at the crown of the glass segment is a rich, hand-selected cluster of complementary gemstones. A faceted rose cut moonstone sits at the center, displaying a soft, internal blue-purple glow. It is flanked by a tiny, brilliant pink rhodolite garnet and a faceted purple amethyst, bringing a beautiful balance of color and texture to the setting.

The architecture of this necklace is entirely unique. To balance the organic weight of the centerpiece, one side of the necklace features a hand-forged, wavy sterling silver bar that traces the natural curve of your collarbone before transitioning to a multi-strand chain. The other side is composed of a sparkly, fluid multi-strand sterling silver chain that connects directly to the bezel. This asymmetrical design allows the pendant to sit dynamically, draped naturally as shown on the model. The chain is fully adjustable, allowing you to fine-tune where it rests.

Every piece of glass is made by a process called cold-working, where the glass is carved at room temperature with no heat and is never liquid or pressed into a mold. If you want to learn more about my process and the durability of my materials, you can read the post where I break down my entire process on my Studio Journal.
