Wisp Necklace

The Wisp Necklace centers around a light, ethereal composition with an innate sense of movement. Its focal point is a piece of luminous cold-worked glass featuring a warm orange hue shot through with shifting yellow, green, and teal undertones. Laminated and carved by hand to look like a delicate, fanning wing or stylized petal, I hand-sculpted the sterling silver wire frame to cleanly trace the outer contours of the glass. A clustered gradient of fiery garnet and citrine gemstones sits right at the top to complete the design with a bright splash of color.

This design constantly plays with light. By laminating these rich, complex color layers underneath a clear optical layer, the glass acts like a prism, creating unexpected glints and deep reflections as you move. The entire piece rests on a dynamic, double-strand sparkly sterling silver chain that adds a beautiful layer of texture, adjusting easily between 16 and 20 inches so you can find your perfect fit.
