An exploration of color as presence, not decoration.
The Elation Necklace is carved from laminated glass built from multiple colors held within a single sculptural form. Pink and purple, pink and yellow, peach and orange, and yellow and green exist in close proximity, remaining distinct rather than blended—pressing up against one another and creating a lively sense of internal movement and lift.
The glass is entirely cold-worked: laminated, then slowly carved and shaped by hand to reveal rounded planes and pockets of color. As the surface is cut back, color fields are broken apart and re-contained, shifting subtly as light moves across the piece.
A large lilac amethyst is set to the side, nestled among circular openings and areas of negative space, where it interacts with light rather than dominating the composition. Accents of citrine and sky blue topaz introduce warmth and clarity, further activating the surrounding color. Hand-fabricated sterling silver frames the form cleanly, with an open, linear detail at the base that moves freely, introduces negative space, and allows light to pass through. Polished silver reflects back into the glass, intensifying its glow.
The pendant is finished with a double, sparkly handmade sterling silver chain, adjustable from 16”–20”, designed to let the piece sit comfortably at different lengths while catching light with movement.
