Part of the Erosion Series, the Dune Cluster Necklace explores wind erosion, stark texturing, and geological layering. By positioning deeply ridged black glass alongside a varied collection of dark and iridescent minerals, this design captures the layered complexity found in weathered desert landscapes.
I hand-fabricate each custom setting, bezel frame, and structural loop from sterling silver, giving the outer bezel walls a hand-applied diamond texture for a clean, detailed sparkle. The focal point features a hand-shaped cold-worked black glass element carved with deep, sweeping ridges that mimic windblown sand dunes. Arranged alongside the glass is a hand-curated cluster of six distinct geological elements: genuine white topaz, a natural pearl, a shifting opal, black spinel, and a textured black onyx druzy. The entire composition integrates directly into a handmade sterling silver chain that measures approximately 18" long.
Every glass element is cut, carved, and polished individually in my studio, ensuring that the precise dune textures, unique mineral layout, and light play belong strictly to this one-of-a-kind piece.
