Transition Necklace

The Transition Necklace explores the concept of continuous evolution, structural shifting, and contrasting material states. Relying on a bold, multi-textured layout that dramatically evolves from one side of the collar to the other, this statement design captures a compelling narrative of movement and change.

I hand-fabricate each custom-shaped bezel framework and the asymmetric, handwrought sterling silver chain components, treating the outer bezel walls with a hand-applied diamond texture that creates a brilliant sparkle and depth. The central composition unites multiple distinct elements in a shifting landscape: a hand-shaped cold-worked deep cranberry red glass piece intricately carved with geometric facets, a stark bar of raw black tourmaline, and a complementary genuine garnet accent. The entire architectural focal point is seamlessly integrated into a specialty adjustable sterling silver omega chain layout.

Because I cut, carve, and polish every glass element individually in my studio, the precise alignment of the surfaces and the unique structural flow belong entirely to this one-of-a-kind piece.
