This piece started as an experiment in materials, what happens when you put raw amethyst druzy next to rose-cut moonstone next to cobalt blue carved glass next to faceted tanzanite. The stones move around the composition in a kind of orbit, no single focal point, just one element leading to the next.
The color range is what I'd call twilight, deep purples, blue, plum, a little garnet red, the pearl at the center of the glass element catching whatever light is left. The full stone list: raw amethyst, garnet, freshwater pearl, moonstone, rose-cut pink sapphire, iolite, pink tourmaline, tanzanite, and a custom cold-worked glass element.
