Part of the Whirlpool Series, this pendant focuses on fluid motion, circular momentum, and layered color depth. By shaping sweeping, interlocking contours that curve inward, the design mimics the natural movement of swirling water currents.
I hand-fabricate the dynamic, curved bezel settings from sterling silver, treating the outer bezel walls with a hand-applied diamond texture for a clean, detailed sparkle. Nestled inside this custom frame are two interlocking, hand-shaped cold-worked glass elements in intense shades of electric blue and saturated violet. The surface of each glass piece is intricately engraved with deep, fluid ridges that follow the circular sweep of the design, while an iridescent finish highlights the color gradients as it catches the light. A single genuine amethyst gemstone is bezel-set neatly at the upper intersection of the silver curves. Built-in silver channels on the reverse side allow the included sterling silver neck wire to slide through smoothly.
Every glass element is cut, shaped, and engraved individually in my studio, ensuring that the water-like surface textures, precise contours, and iridescent illumination belong strictly to this one-of-a-kind piece.
