Wind Necklace

$3,400.00

Part of the Erosion Series, the Wind Necklace explores wind erosion, weathering, and sweeping motion. By contrasting heavily textured, light-absorbing black glass against polished precious metals and a flashing mineral point, this design captures a sense of wind moving across raw geological formations.

I hand-fabricate the dynamic, wrapping frame and custom stone settings using a combination of sterling silver and 18k gold, finishing the metal with a smooth polish that mirrors the shifting light. The focal point features a large, hand-shaped cold-worked black glass element carved with deep, vertical ridges that create strong highlights and shadows. Sweeping directly over the glass is a forged silver tendril that anchors into a tiny 18k gold bezel containing a genuine Ethiopian Welo Opal. The sculptural framework seamlessly extends into a contoured, adjustable sterling silver neckpiece that sits securely on the collar line.

Every glass element is cut, shaped, and carved individually in my studio, ensuring that the weathered surface contours, precise metal curves, and opal placement belong strictly to this one-of-a-kind piece.

  • Hand-fabricated sterling silver, 18k gold, cold-worked black glass, and a genuine Ethiopian Welo Opal.

  • Neckpiece: Forged sterling silver, adjustable from approximately 15" to 18".

  • Studio-crafted and one-of-a-kind.
