The Yellow/Lime Flutter Pendant represents a dynamic exploration of movement, balance, and natural light. Designed to appear suspended mid-shift, the form captures a beautiful tension between stillness and organic motion, echoing fluid contours found in nature.
I hand-fabricate the architectural setting and the prominent, textured focal bale from sterling silver, shaping the outer borders to directly echo the organic contours of the piece rather than fully containing them. Nestled into this sculptural framework is a hand-shaped cold-worked glass element revealing layered yellow and lime tones. The glass features a striking iridescence that ripples across the surface, shifting subtly as the pendant moves on the body. Accenting the top curve of the bloom is a trio of genuine gemstones—tourmaline, peridot, and chrome diopside—adding rich depth and a quiet crystalline sparkle. The piece comes suspended from an asymmetric, adjustable handmade sterling silver chain that can also be worn on it’s own.
Every glass element is cut, carved, and polished individually in my studio, ensuring that the organic rippled edges and the shifting, iridescent illumination belong strictly to this one-of-a-kind piece.
