The Zen Garden Pendant explores organic form, deep texturing, and quiet material transitions. Inspired by the deliberate arrangements and weathered stones found in traditional Japanese rock gardens, this design focuses on how matte, sculpted surfaces interact with structured, polished minerals.
I hand-fabricate the contoured bezel framework, hidden back channels, and individual stone settings from sterling silver, treating the outer bezel walls with a hand-applied diamond texture for a clean, detailed border. The main focal point is a hand-shaped cold-worked black glass element carved with an organic, bubbly stone texture that diffuses light across its surface. Resting alongside the glass is a prominent, rose-cut genuine labradorite that flashes with deep blue tones, anchored by a smaller bezel-set sapphire accent. Built-in silver channels on the reverse side allow the included sterling silver omega neck wire to slide through smoothly.
Every glass element is cut, shaped, and carved individually in my studio, ensuring that the stone-like surface textures, precise mineral alignment, and dark glass depth belong strictly to this one-of-a-kind piece.
