Amaranth Necklace
The Amaranth necklace is centered around a vibrant, deeply crimson red glass element that I hand-carved with dramatic, sweeping ridges to create a lush, organic texture reminiscent of unfurling petals. Resting right at the top of the carved glass is a carefully grouped cluster of accents: a bright yellow citrine, a fiery orange fire opal, and a luminous pearl.
The centerpiece is set in hand-fabricated sterling silver, bordered by a diamond-textured bezel that follows its wavy, botanical silhouette. The pendant is integrated into a structured, rigid neck wire that measures 16 inches, complete with a 4-inch chain extension so you can easily adjust how high or low it sits. It balances a striking, sculptural splash of color with a clean and modern framework.
Every piece of glass is made by a process called cold-working, where the glass is carved at room temperature with no heat and is never liquid or pressed into a mold. If you want to learn more about my process and the durability of my materials, you can read the post where I break down my entire process on my Studio Journal.
