The Vermilion earrings feature a vibrant, bright red glass hand-carved into a rippling silhouette. I carved each glass element with deep, radiating ridges that flare outward, creating a textured surface that catches and plays with the light changing from deep red to cherry red, with dark gray and black shadows.
Clustered at the base of the carved glass is a trio of complementary elements set in hand-fabricated sterling silver. Each earring features a round, faceted deep red garnet, a classic white pearl with a soft luster, and a small, faceted clear white topaz nested between them to add a clean point of light. The settings are designed in a mirrored, asymmetrical layout, allowing the gemstone clusters to frame the face when worn.
These are compact post earrings designed to sit flat and securely against the earlobe.
Every piece of glass is made by a process called cold-working, where the glass is carved at room temperature with no heat and is never liquid or pressed into a mold. If you want to learn more about my process and the durability of my materials, you can read the post where I break down my entire process on my Studio Journal.

Cold-worked vermilion glass, hand-carved with radiating fan-like ridges.
Genuine faceted round red garnet, round white pearl, and faceted white topaz accents.
Mirrored, asymmetrical post design that sits flat against the lobe.
